MoodPalz

Privacy Policy

MoodPalz is a companion for anxious moments, panic, and overthinking. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Last updated: July 12, 2026

Information we collect

When you use MoodPalz, we may collect account information such as your name, email address, and authentication identifiers; onboarding preferences such as concerns, reminder times, and support goals; check-ins, moods, notes, SOS session details, companion chat messages, and progress history that you choose to create; purchase and entitlement status from our subscription provider; and basic technical information needed to keep the app secure and working.

How we use information

We use your information to provide MoodPalz’s core features, personalize your space, save your progress, sync your account, provide companion replies, send reminders you ask for, manage subscriptions, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.

Health and crisis notice

MoodPalz provides self-support tools for reflection, grounding, and emotional regulation. MoodPalz is not a medical provider, therapist, emergency service, or crisis service. If you are in danger or may harm yourself or someone else, contact local emergency services immediately.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, MoodPalz may schedule gentle check-in nudges, reminders, or affirmations based on your preferences. You can change notification permissions in your device settings.

Subscriptions and payments

Purchases, trials, renewals, and restores may be processed through app stores and subscription services such as RevenueCat. We do not receive your full card number. Those providers process payment data under their own policies.

Service providers

We use PostHog for content-free app product analytics and redacted reliability telemetry. Website analytics are optional, anonymous, and separate from app accounts. We do not send journal entries, chats, moods, names, emails, form contents, request bodies, or URL query strings to analytics. The configured PostHog data region is disclosed before production launch. Other trusted providers may support authentication, hosting, subscriptions, notifications, customer support, and AI-powered companion features.

Data retention

We keep information only as long as needed to provide the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, protect users, and maintain security. Our target is no more than 30 days for approved onboarding replay and 90 days for redacted reliability logs, where provider controls support it. Product analytics retention is reviewed before production launch. You may ask us to delete your account or personal information, subject to legal and operational requirements.

Your choices

You can refuse website analytics before any optional analytics is sent and disable analytics from the app welcome screen. If you turn it off there, account-linked product analytics stay off after login. You can also change this choice later in Profile. Reliability telemetry is separate and uses redacted operational metadata. You can also skip many onboarding questions, change reminders, disable notifications, sign out, restore purchases, or request access, correction, or deletion.

Children

MoodPalz is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
